Taking our kids to see Nutcracker at a theater...?

This is a matinee, what should we wear? I am not sure....have been reading alot of answers! Any help would really be appreciated!

Whatever you'd feel comfortable wearing if you were going out to dinner afterwards at Denny's, Red Lobster, etc., so you have a big choice. The main thing is to expose the kids to this cultural event and begin to train them in how to act appropriately. There is a difference between a matinee and opening night. Be dressy casual.

Matinees are meant to be less formal than a nighttime showing.

You all should dress nice, but not formal. Wear something nicer than what you wear everyday, but don't worry about suits and gowns.
For a matinee you don't need to be overly dressed up. A nice pants suite or a jacket with a nice skirt and shoes would do. Semi casual. Your husband khakis, nice sweater, good shoes is an idea. For the kids the same thing nice clothes not to dressy. Hope this helps you. As I mentioned Semi casual is the best for matinees.
